Paper Camera Captures Summer

A first-person perspective video in the style of social media.

The photographer holds a handmade paper digital camera in one hand, red and yellow. A flat, slightly cheap toy design that looks like a cutout of thick paper. I don't make high-end cameras, metal cameras, or Polaroids.

In every cut, the background shows a live-action subject. When the photographer presses the shutter button, a cute 2D hand-drawn animated version of the same subject appears only on the paper digital camera's LCD screen, as if the background is an illustration as is. The reality behind the background does not change. The live-action subject and the animated version on the LCD are shown simultaneously in the same frame.

Cut 1: Tokyo Tower at Night
Focus is placed on the central LCD to the live-action background of Tokyo Tower. Once aligned, press the shutter. The screen is flash. After that, only the background inside the LCD from the earlier photo-action becomes a cute 2D toon illustration that looks like it was drawn with colored pencils, and the entire screen is frozen in place. The background remains the same as live-action.

Cut 2: Fireworks at the Summer Festival
Focus on the summer festival fireworks in the background inside the central LCD. Once aligned, press the shutter. The entire screen is flash. After that, only the background inside the LCD from the earlier photo-action becomes a cute 2D toon illustration that looks like it was drawn with colored pencils, and the entire screen is frozen in place. The background remains the same as live-action.

Cut 3: Sunflower Field
Focus on the sunflower field in the background inside the central LCD. Once aligned, press the shutter. The entire screen is flash. Cut 4: Seaside view from inside the train
Focus on the seaside view from inside the train in the background inside the central LCD. Once aligned, press the shutter. The entire screen is flash. After that, only the background inside the LCD from the earlier live-action shot turns into a cute D toon illustration drawn with colored pencils, and the entire screen freezes. The background remains the same as live-action.

The in-screen art style features thick outlines, flat and bright colors, and a simple, pop 2D cartoon for children. No cinematic watercolor animation, 3DCG, or realistic anime backgrounds.
